Opening Buckinghamshire UTC

Visiting students at Buckinghamshire UTC

The Duke joined UTC founding father Lord Baker, as well as sponsors, employer partners and students at the opening of Buckinghamshire University Technical College (UTC) in Aylesbury on 29 January 2014.

During the visit, HRH’s third to support Buckinghamshire UTC, The Duke spoke at the opening ceremony before meeting teams from the IT and the Construction streams (the UTC’s specialisms) who presented their project work undertaken since classes began in September.

HRH, speaking at the opening said: “Having listened to the students today I can see that they have clearly grasped the challenge, understood the purpose of the UTC and I believe they will make a significant difference both to their own futures and their community.”

The Duke last visited Buckinghamshire UTC a year ago, to host a lunch with local dignitaries, business leaders and partners.
