The Duke of York Award for Technical Education

The Duke of York Award for Technical Education aims to recognise the achievements of young people in Technical Education and is currently offered at University Technical Colleges in England.  The Award’s framework has been produced with the support of The Engineering Council, the Science Council and the Gatsby Charitable Trust.

The Award has three levels; Bronze, Silver and Gold.Bronze and Silver Awards are based on achievements in GCSEs and Level  1 or 2 technical qualifications.  The Gold Award is based on A levels and/or  Level  3 technical qualifications.

The Award also recognises the completion of work experience placements and the development of wider skills required in the workplace such as communication, problem solving and leadership.
