The Queen and The Duke of Edinburgh celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary on 20 November 2007.

A Service of Celebration was be held on the morning of 19 November 2007 at Westminster Abbey. This was open to invited guests only, but was broadcast live on BBC1.

Following the service, Her Majesty and His Royal Highness unveiled a new Jubilee Walkway panoramic panel in Parliament Square.

Other events
To celebrate the Diamond Wedding Anniversary, the Royal Collection (which deals with Royal art and residences) has put together an exhibition of items from the marriages of the five sovereigns to have occupied the British throne in the last 150 years. The exhibition is on display at Windsor Castle until 11 March 2008.
