The Duke of York, Patron, hosted a Reception for Teens and Toddlers at St. James’s Palace on 9th November, 2015.
Teens and Toddlers is a Charity that runs 18-week programmes, in partnership with local authorities, enabling teens to gain work experience through mentoring a child in a nursery. The programme addresses the social exclusion of young people, and is focussed on inspiring teenagers to achieve the skills, qualifications and self-belief they need in order to succeed in work and life.
During the Reception His Royal Highness met with teachers and young people from schools taking part in the Teens and Toddlers programme.
Joanne Hay, CEO of Teens and Toddlers said “(The Charity) turns teenager’s shyness into confidence and recklessness into responsibility.”
The Duke said “I love the concept of unconventional thinking, putting Teens and Toddlers together shouldn’t work, but I’ve seen it in action and it makes a huge difference.”
