The Duke of York and Princess Eugenie attended The Presentation of The Queen Elizabeth Prize for Engineering at Buckingham Palace on 26th October, 2015.
The Queen Elizabeth Prize for Engineering is a global £1 million prize that celebrates ground-breaking innovations in engineering and rewards engineers whose work has had a major impact on humanity.
The winner of The Queen Elizabeth Prize of Engineering was announced at The Royal Society in February, 2015. Read about The Duke’s visit to The Royal Society here.
At the Reception the winner of The Queen Elizabeth Prize, Dr. Robert Langer was presented with the 2015 Trophy by Her Majesty The Queen. Dr. Langer was the first person to engineer polymers to control the delivery of large molecular weight drugs for the treatment of diseases such as cancer and mental illness.
