F is for Flags
The Queen has her own special Royal flag – it is called a ‘standard’. The Royal standard is flown above the building where The Queen is staying. It also flies on The Queen’s car when she is on an official visit. When The Queen is away from Buckingham Palace, a Union Jack flag is flown instead. Look at the flags next time you pass a Royal palace – it’s an easy way to find out if The Queen is at home! |
