SECRETARY, PRIVY PURSE & TREASURER’S OFFICE – c.£22,000 per annum, plus benefits

Closing Date: Monday 1 September 2008

An experienced and capable Secretary is required to provide comprehensive administrative and secretarial support to the Keeper of the Privy Purse and Deputy Keeper of the Privy Purse, who are responsible for The Queen’s financial affairs and for a department of more than 150 people covering a wide range of professions. Duties will include diary management, general correspondence, arranging travel and maintaining filing systems.

The position would suit an experienced secretary/administrator who is well organised, personable and supportive and who is looking to apply their skills in an interesting and stable role. A working knowledge of MS Office applications, experience of diary management, attention to detail, the ability to draft correspondence and confident communication skills are also essential.

The position offers the opportunity to work within a professional and unique environment and to benefit from excellent terms and conditions (including a 15% employer contribution to a pension scheme).
