Diana, Princess of Wales died on Sunday, 31 August 1997 following a car crash in Paris.

There was widespread public mourning at the death of this popular figure, culminating with her funeral at Westminster Abbey on Saturday, 6 September 1997.

Even after her death, the Princess’s work lives on in the form of commemorative charities and projects set up to help those in need.

CONCERT AND MEMORIAL SERVICE IN 2007
In 2007 Prince William and Prince Harry will host two events to celebrate and commemorate the life of Diana, Princess of Wales.

The first, Concert for Diana will be held at Wembley Stadium on 1 July 2007, what would have been Diana’s 46th birthday.  It will be followed by a Memorial Service on 31 August 2007, 10 years after the Princess’s death.
