On the 25th of March HRH The Duke of York attended the [email protected] Bootcamp at Google Campus in London.
[email protected] is an initiative to provide a platform for entrepreneurs to engage with potential supporters including angels, mentors or key business contacts, assisting these start-ups and promoting entrepreneurship in general.
Prior to the main event, to be held at St James’s Palace next week, Google Campus in East London hosted a ‘bootcamp’ session where the 36 nominated companies were narrowed to 12 who will go on to pitch at the palace.
The day consisted of talks and small group sessions between mentors and entrepreneurs to build contacts, share their ideas and further develop their pitches. The entrepreneurs then pitching their start-up to a panel of judges including Eileen Burbidge, Rod Christie-Millerand, James Henderson, Rebecca Burn-Callander, Tom Hulme, Tim Kay and Jon Ayton, MBE. The Pitchers have the opportunity to win in three categories: most commercial potential, most disruptive idea and best pitch.
The finalists are:
Autism Biotech
Fantastic pitches were also given by the following companies:
