The University of Huddersfield

The Duke of York was installed as Chancellor of The University of Huddersfield on 13th July, 2015. HRH succeed Sir Patrick Stewart, who became Chancellor Emeritus after 11 years.

The University of Huddersfield was founded in 1825 and provides outstanding academic education. The University prides itself on the employability of graduates and aims to equip its students with the skills required for the world of work.

The University of Huddersfield was awarded TES University of the Year in 2013 and has been praised for dedication to teaching excellence and the establishment of a new innovation centre. The University of Huddersfield continues to excel, winning numerous awards in enterprise, student satisfaction, and employability including The Queen’s Award for Enterprise in International Trade and TES Entrepreneurial University of the Year.

In 2013 Vice Chancellor, Bob Cryan was named as the Inspiring Leader at The Guardian Education Awards.
