The Duke of York was installed as Chancellor of The University of Huddersfield on 13th July, 2015. HRH succeed Sir Patrick Stewart, who became Chancellor Emeritus after 11 years.

In 2013 Vice Chancellor, Bob Cryan was named as the Inspiring Leader at The Guardian Education Awards.
