Today, Monday 28th May 2018, The Duke of York visited Jingdong (JD.com) – a [email protected] Global Partner, who are China’s leading one-stop e-commerce platform. JD.com provides 301.8 million active customers with direct access to an unrivalled range of authentic, high-quality products, and helping leading local and international brands tap into China’s fast growing e-commerce market.
HRH was received by Founder Richard Lui and taken on a tour of the Showroom and Data Centre to see the range of innovative new products they are developing, from electronics to home furnishings and home appliances, and to explore the companies advanced technology and logistics.

The Duke of York later attended a roundtable discussion to look at the UK’s trading relationship with China, and the strengthening of economic ties with Southeast Asia. HRH spoke, along with Tan Sri Lee Kim Yew, Co-Founder and Patron of WCES and Chairman of Country Heights Grou, Dr Michael Yeoh, Chairman of WCES and Chief Executive Officer of ASLI, Dr Wang Huiyao, Counsellor of the State Council of PRC & President of the Centre for China and Globalisation and Professor Dr Xiang Bing, Founding Dean of Cheung Kong Graduate School of Business & Professor of China Business and Globalisation at Cheung Kong Graduate School of Business.

Finally, The Duke of York attended a dinner given by Huddersfield University with key stakeholders including Fujian Normal University, where they are hoping to develop an institute.
