Cambridge Visit

The Duke of York visited Cambridge on 21st July, 2015.

HRH visited the Cambridge Judge Business School to launch the new Entrepreneurship Centre of which The Duke is Patron. The new Entrepreneurship Centre combines several of the School’s initiatives, including the Centre for Entrepreneurial Learning (CfEL) and Accelerate Cambridge. It will enable Cambridge Judge to build knowledge and skills, as well as having greater impact on in entrepreneurship within the Cambridge Cluster.

Professor Christoph Loch, Director, Cambridge Judge Business School, introduced the new Entrepreneur Centre and announced The Duke as Patron. HRH watched pitches from HealX, Cytora and H2GO Power Biotech.

Later The Duke attended a lunch hosted by Cambridge Judge Business School to discuss Pitch@Palace.

HRH also visited Cambridge Astrophysics to learn more about their research. Cambridge is one of the oldest centres for astronomical research in the world. Cambridge Astrophysics incorporates the Institute for Astronomy, the Kavli Institute for Cosmology, and the Battcock Centre for Experimental Physics.

The Duke met with professors and graduates who presented their latest work and research on High Redshift Galaxies, The Gaia Satellite, Extra Solar Planets, and Experimental Astrophysics.
