The Duke of York attended The Royal Society Medals Presentation on 15th October, 2015.
The Royal Society promotes and supports excellence in science. The Duke is a Royal Fellow of the Society.
During the visit His Royal Highness met with medallists including the recipients of the Copley Medal, the Croonian Medal and Lecture, the Bakerian Medal and Lecture, and The Royal Medals. The Duke of York presented Royal Medals to Dame Jocelyn Bell Burnell and Sir Christopher Llewellyn Smith. Founded in 1825, The Royal Medal recognises outstanding achievements in biological, physical and applied sciences.
