The Duke of York visited Huddersfield on 11th July, 2016.

His Royal Highness, Chancellor, started the day at the University of Huddersfield where he chaired 2 graduation ceremonies. The Duke succeeded Sir Patrick Stewart as Chancellor of the University in July, 2015 and awarded degrees to students from the Department of Engineering and Technology and the Department of Informatics.

HRH said “Good luck, congratulations and really take this opportunity you have been given.”

Later, The Duke of York visited Macbey Packaging Limited, one of the UK’s leading independent manufacturers of metal packaging. During the visit, HRH met with staff and viewed the production process at the factory.

Next, The Duke of York, Chancellor, returned to the University of Huddersfield to award degrees to students from the Department of Art, Design and Architecture.
